Despite being one of the most important fossil-based energy exporters in the world, Saudi Arabia acknowledges the huge potential of renewable energies and hydrogen and wants to establish itself as a green energy supplier. Saudi Arabia aims to increase the share of renewable energies in its domestic electricity generation up to 50% until 2030 and to achieve climate neutrality by 2060.
