A collaborative event at the Movenpick City Star Hotel in Jeddah brought together experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss renewable energy and clean technologies, focusing on Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on challenges and opportunities in the energy transition.

New H2-diplo study shows: Hydrogen could play a key role in Ukraine’s green reconstruction and future development plans

Hydrogen could play a significant role in Ukraine’s post war economy, both in terms of domestic decarbonization and exports, but large barriers need to be overcome, a recent GIZ study finds. Strategic partnerships built on trust and dedicated derisking instruments will be essential. The study has been launched during a webinar dedicated to inform Ukrainian diplomates on the potentials of green hydrogen for Ukraine’s energy future.

BETD 2024: Omani Delegation accompanied by H2-diplo

From March 18th to 20th, 2024, the 10th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) took place, with the Minister of Energy and Minerals of the Sultanate of Oman, Salim al Aufi, attending numerous sessions and holding a bilateral meeting with German Minister Dr. Robert Habeck of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The Omani minister was accompanied by a delegation of key public stakeholders from Oman. They used the opportunity to visit multiple cities across Germany on a working trip to engage with German stakeholders. The trip was jointly organized by the Omani and German embassies, supported by H2-Diplo, AHK Oman, and Guidehouse.

From March 18th to 20th March 2024, the 10th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) took place and the H2-diplo Office Astana organized a working trip to Berlin, Germany for partners from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

H2-diplo hosts side-event at German-Ukrainian Energy Day on hydrogen potential

The 3rd German-Ukrainian Energy trip took place in Berlin on 25th and 26th October under the motto “Powering Ukraine’s Future: Strengthening Energy Cooperation for Sustainable Recovery”. In this context, H2-diplo hosted a roundtable together with the Energy Partnership to explore the potential for green hydrogen in Ukraine.

Successful 1st study trip with H2-diplo Kazakhstan
