On February 27th, 2022, the Hydrogen Diplomacy Office (H2-diplo) was officially launched during a symposium at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Digital City, Riyadh. Titled “H2-diplo Symposium – Launch of the Riyadh Office,” the event brought together policymakers, industry experts, and international stakeholders to discuss the potential of hydrogen in shaping Saudi Arabia’s energy transition.

Part of the broader “Energy Days” initiative, the symposium addressed key questions about hydrogen’s role in the country’s energy transition and its geopolitical implications. During the event, participants underscored Saudi Arabia’s commitment to exploring green hydrogen opportunities as a means of diversifying energy sources.
